importance of studying what the Bible says, because we 5 00:00:35.920 --> 00:00:42.040 can have supernatural encounters with God, but we want to make sure that whatever we're 6 00:00:42.040 --> 00:00:47.640 doing or whatever we're encountering is actually biblical. 7 00:00:47.640 --> 00:00:51.640 There's a wonderful scripture in 2 Timothy 2.15, and it says, 8 00:00:51.640 --> 00:00:59.520 Be diligent to present yourself approved of God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, 9 00:00:59.520 --> 00:01:03.840 rightly dividing the word of truth. 10 00:01:03.840 --> 00:01:04.840 So what does that mean? 11 00:01:04.840 --> 00:01:09.740 Well, people can wrongly divide it, correct? 12 00:01:09.740 --> 00:01:16.600 And so I had an encounter with something very supernatural when my father passed June 12th. 13 00:01:16.600 --> 00:01:22.940 I was next to him, and I was worshiping God. 14 00:01:22.940 --> 00:01:25.480 My heart was breaking. 15 00:01:25.480 --> 00:01:26.800 It was sad. 16 experienced God's presence where I was afraid. 38 00:03:01.240 --> 00:03:07.240 And yet, when I began to go through and study worship and actually angels, I got some incredible 39 00:03:07.240 --> --> 00:04:37.400 And when someone passes away, it is biblical that the angels come to comfort and to guide. 60 00:04:37.400 --> 00:04:40.000 And that reference, I found it, finally. 61 00:04:40.000 00:06:20.160 I love praise and worship and I love studying biblical music over the course of human history. 85 00:06:20.160 --> 00:06:28.520 I was a music major in college and there's a big connection between worship and the 86 00:06:28.520 --> 00:06:36.240 angels and it's also interesting now in modern contemporary worship that some of the most 87 00:06:36.240 --> 00:06:41.980 anointed praise and worship songs that have been written in probably the last 20 years 88 00:06:41.980 --> 00:06:51.700 are songs that take portions of scripture that are biblically and theologically sound 89 00:06:51.700 --> 00:07:01.420 and those are put to music that empower the body of Christ to sing and worship Jesus. 90 00:07:01.420 --> 00:07:06.780 And there's some cool examples of that and the first one, of course, when I was looking 91 00:07:06.780 --> 00:07:12.820 at the angels are when Jesus was born in the hills in Bethlehem. 92 00:07:12.820 --> 00:07:13.820 Now think about that. 93 They're going to have fake encounters. Worship God for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. 201 00:16:11.520 --> 00:16:18.480 Now, this book of prophecy, Revelation, would become one of the most significant books of 202 00:16:18.480 --> 00:16:25.200 prophecy next to the book of Daniel, which parallels that. But Revelation is really kind of the New Testament book that 204 00:16:30.320 --> 00:16:35.680 ties all of those things together.
