And everybody's community in Tribe is just 7 00:00:24.000 --> 00:00:28.000 slightly different, so we've created a few ways that you can customize this homepage 8 00:00:28.000 --> 00:00:32.000 to help your users get around and access your content more easily. 9 00:00:32.000 --> 00:00:36.000 So let me head over to our site, and I'll show you exactly 10 00:00:36.000 --> 00:00:40.000 how to set this up here. So if we jump in on this 11 00:00:40.000 --> 00:00:44.000 particular homepage, I have a hero image at the top. 12 00:00:44.000 --> 00:00:48.000 I have my groups here, and then I have my first 13 00:00:48.000 --> 00:00:52.000 collection of content here, with tutorials here, 14 00:00:52.000 --> 00:00:56.000 and so forth, kind of working down the page. So the way that you would set this 15 00:00:56.000 --> 00:01:00.000 up is you'd head over into the dashboard. 16 00:01:00.000 --> 00:01:04.000 You would go to Collections, and 17 00:01:04.000 --> 00:01:08.000 first off, you would go ahead and create a collection. I'm going to go here and say 18 00:01:08.000 --> 00:01:12.000 My New Homepage Collection. You can call it 19 00:01:12.000 --> 00:01:16.000 whatever you want. The text that you use here is what's going to show up 20 00:01:16.000 --> 00:01:20.000 right here. That's the collection name. 21 00:01:20.000 --> 00:01:24.000 Here, I'm going to go ahead and say, I'm going to put it 22 00:01:24.000 --> 00:01:28.000 in this position. So the position is how early in the page do you want to show it. 23 00:01:28.000 --> 00:01:32.000 And this is just a numeric value. So this allows you to 24 00:01:32.000 --> 00:01:36.000 have kind of a 1, 2, 3, 4, but then rather than going and 25 00:01:36.000 --> 00:01:40.000 updating them, you can actually make a position 0, or even a position negative 1. 26 00:01:40.000 --> 00:01:44.000 So it's a little bit more customizable there. 27 00:01:44.000 --> 00:01:48.000 So I'm just going to make negative 100. I want to make sure that it goes right to the top. 28 00:01:48.000 --> 00:01:52.000 And then I'm just going to hit Save. 29 00:01:52.000 --> 00:01:56.000 So here, I'm also going to go ahead and say Show on Homepage. Just say Show on Homepage, and click Save. 31 00:02:00.000 --> 00:02:04.000 Now if we refresh, you'll see 32 00:02:04.000 --> 00:02:08.000 it didn't change. So why is that? Well, when you go into 33 00:02:08.000 --> 00:02:12.000 this, and you go into the Homepage, you have to have content 34 00:02:12.000 --> 00:02:16.000 in a collection before it shows up. So it's not going to show you an empty row. It's just one of 35 00:02:16.000 --> 00:02:20.000 the features we built in that if you don't have content for a collection, 36 00:02:20.000 --> 00:02:24.000 or it's not published content in some cases, it's not going to show that 37 00:02:24.000 --> 00:02:28.000 entire collection. So we're not going to show blank collections, people, because it doesn't really 38 00:02:28.000 --> 00:02:32.000 serve any purpose. So let's head over to Content here. I'm going to grab 39 00:02:32.000 --> 00:02:36.000 one of my tutorials, and I'm just going to throw that into this collection 40 00:02:36.000 --> 00:02:40.000 to show you how it works. So I'm going to say My New Page. So I've taken a piece of content 41 00:02:40.000 --> 00:02:44.000 and I've added it to this collection. I'm going to click Save. 42 00:02:44.000 --> 00:02:48.000 And now I'm going to click Refresh. And now you'll see 43 00:02:48.000 --> 00:02:52.000 it says My New Homepage Collection that we just created with that one piece of 44 00:02:52.000 --> 00:02:56.000 content in here.
