And I want to talk to you 34 00:03:15.520 --> 00:03:22.280 again, just to reiterate, I want to talk about the purpose of the kingdom. And 35 00:03:22.280 --> 00:03:25.520 here really is the purpose of the kingdom. I'm going to give it to you and 36 00:03:25.520 --> 00:03:28.680 then we're going to flesh it out a little bit. So, the 37 00:03:28.680 --> 00:03:35.880 purpose of the kingdom really is this. To bring all creation under, or you could 38 00:03:35.880 --> 00:03:43.200 say back under, the rule and the reign of Jesus Christ. You know, the disciples, 39 00:03:43.200 --> 00:03:47.440 they asked Jesus, how do we pray? And you'll hear me use the Lord's 40 00:03:47.440 --> 00:03:50.880 Prayer, what's commonly called the Lord's Prayer, often in my teaching because it's 41 00:03:50.880 --> 00:03:56.520 such a, it brings such a revelation of the heart of God and such a framework of 42 00:03:56.520 --> 00:04:00.000 the kingdom. Not to mention, obviously, the way that we pray and the way that we 43 00:04:00.000 --> 00:04:04.640 connect with God. But he says in the Lord's Prayer, he says, 44 00:04:04.640 --> 00:04:11.520 your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. The disciples 45 00:04:11.520 --> 00:04:18.040 are asking Jesus, how do we pray? And Jesus' response, as a part of His response, 46 00:04:18.040 --> 00:04:23.800 is this. When you pray, pray like this. Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be your 47 00:04:23.800 --> 00:04:32.200 name. Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. So, 48 00:04:32.200 --> 00:04:35.880 your kingdom come, what does that look like? When the kingdom comes, what does it 49 00:04:35.880 --> 00:04:40.560 look like? Well, here's what it looks like. It looks like your will being done. What 50 00:04:40.560 --> 00:04:43.760 is God's will? God's will is for everything to come under the rule and 51 00:04:43.760 --> 00:04:47.640 reign of Jesus Christ. confronted with issues, when we are cancelling a friend 65 00:05:43.600 --> 00:05:46.600 who's just gone through a really hard time and we don't think they deserve to have gone 66 00:05:46.600 --> 00:05:52.880 through such a hard time, when we are confronted with issues in the world that seem unjust 67 00:05:52.880 --> 00:05:59.200 and that seem like this is just not right, then what we do not have the right to do, 68 00:05:59.200 --> 00:06:03.760 according to at least if we are being true and living true to Scripture, living true 69 00:06:03.760 --> 00:06:08.440 to the life of Jesus, we don't have the right to say this, God why did you let this happen 70 00:06:08.440 --> 00:06:10.840 or why did you do this? 71 00:06:10.840 --> 00:06:12.240 How could this be your will? 72 00:06:12.240 --> 00:06:15.120 Because we can plainly see that that's not the will of God. 73 00:06:15.120 --> 00:06:19.640 There are many instances on earth right now where the will of God is not being played 74 00:06:54.920 I don't understand why God chose to take this person home when they did. 84 00:06:54.920 --> 00:06:56.840 It feels so unfair. 85 00:06:56.840 --> 00:07:00.400 Feels like they were taken way too young. 86 00:07:00.400 --> 00:07:03.800 And I would like to say this, possibly it wasn't God who took them. 87 00:07:03.800 --> 00:07:09.720 Possibly it's God who caught them, God who received God, I've been thinking 97 00:07:59.840 --> 00:08:03.280 about Jesus, but the one thing that I can't get out of my head is, why do bad things happen 98 00:08:03.280 --> 00:08:06.920 to good people? 99 00:08:06.920 --> 00:08:11.440 And here's what the presupposition to that statement is. 100 00:08:11.440 --> 00:08:16.240 What people are really saying is this, if God is in meticulous control of all things, 101 00:08:16.240 --> 00:08:18.440 why do bad things happen to good people? 102 00:08:18.440 --> 00:08:22.080 You have to make that assumption first, you have to make that assumption that God is in 103 00:08:22.080 --> 00:08:25.240 control of everything. 104 00:08:25.240 --> 00:08:30.240 Therefore because of that assumption, we can then say, why do bad things happen to good people? 105 00:08:30.240 --> 00:08:34.000 Well here's just, I'm not going to, this whole message is not about why do bad things happen 106 00:08:34.000 --> 00:08:41.000 to good people, although that would and cause 111 00:08:57.920 --> 00:09:03.160 his will to, he could take free will out of the question and he could just go bam, I'm 112 00:09:03.160 --> 00:09:07.580 now in control of everything, martial law, heavenly law, boom. 113 00:09:07.580 --> 00:09:08.580 But that's not how he works. 114 00:09:08.580 --> 00:09:14.580 God is a God of love, therefore he allows a radical amount of free following the plan of God, the voice of God, or the 129 00:10:07.360 --> 00:10:09.080 will of God. 130 00:10:09.080 --> 00:10:15.580 And because of that, they are actually bringing about things on the one, the apostle's job was not to conquer, the apostle's job was to go into 231 00:17:40.160 --> 00:17:49.940 the land that was already conquered, and to establish Roman life, rule, and culture 232
