And so here's another thing that I want to really bring 152 00:10:36.960 --> 00:10:42.480 into as we as we approach finances and Jesus bringing a teaching on finances. One thing that 153 00:10:42.480 --> 00:10:50.800 people seem to skip and miss is the fact that Jesus is the King of Heaven. So when Jesus, 154 00:10:50.800 --> 00:10:54.960 whenever Jesus approaches something, he approaches it from the perspective 155 00:10:54.960 --> 00:11:01.760 of royalty. And this is something that I just love about raising royalty is we're always after 156 00:11:01.760 --> 00:11:06.240 trying to trying to bring people into royal mindsets, royal paradigms around what they're 157 00:11:06.240 --> 00:11:11.440 doing. But when you hear Jesus speaking, don't think that you're listening to some poor beggar 158 00:11:11.440 --> 00:11:16.960 man, right? Jesus is the King of Heaven. No one understands finance better than Jesus. Jesus 159 00:11:16.960 --> 00:11:22.240 created finance. He created the whole concept of wealth. Jesus is the King of Heaven. So when you 160 00:11:22.240 --> 00:11:27.600 hear Jesus speaking, you want to be really conscious of the fact that you are hearing the 161 00:11:27.600 --> 00:11:33.920 words of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. And that's another reason why I really love 162 00:11:33.920 --> 00:11:40.480 Solomon's teachings on finance, because he's another king. So he speaks from the perspective 163 00:11:40.480 --> 00:11:45.680 of a king. So you get royal mindset. So when you look at the Bible, you want to look at the people 164 00:11:45.680 --> 00:11:49.920 when they're teaching on finance from those perspectives of who were the kings. Now, Solomon 165 00:11:50.880 --> 00:11:55.200 says he was the wealthiest, you know, like the wealthiest of his time and possibly still to 166 00:11:55.200 --> 00:12:01.680 this day, one of the wealthiest people who has ever lived. And it all flowed out of abundance. 167 00:12:01.680 --> 00:12:06.160 And what you need to understand when Jesus is teaching finances, because he's trying to teach 168 00:12:06.160 --> 00:12:12.160 you royal mindset. He's trying to teach you how to rule and reign over finance so that you have the 169 00:12:12.160 --> 00:12:18.400 abundance to dream with him, to operate with him, to run with him and to disciple nations the way 170 00:12:18.400 --> 00:12:27.120 that he designed you to disciple nations. So let's look first of all at at phase one, which is 171 00:12:27.120 --> 00:12:37.680 alignment. All right. So let me give you a here's a perspective from Solomon that is a good gauge, 172 00:12:37.680 --> 00:12:42.720 right? Because sometimes you need like a gauge to let you know if you're on the right track 173 00:12:42.720 --> 00:12:48.320 or not. So this is what Solomon says. So it's not like Benji's idea. This is Solomon, one of the 174 00:12:48.320 --> 00:12:55.040 wealthiest kings that's ever lived. And he said this in Proverbs 14, 24, the wealth of the wise 175 00:12:55.040 --> 00:13:03.120 is their crown, but the folly of fools yields folly. So that's a crazy dynamic, right? The 176 00:13:03.120 --> 00:13:09.440 wealth of the wise is their crown. So he's saying if you understand royal mindsets, they always 177 00:13:09.440 --> 00:13:18.080 produce abundance. So as we get into phase one, we're talking about alignment. Now, if we want 178 00:13:18.080 --> 00:13:24.720 to have alignment in our finances, alignment with the teachings of Jesus, aligning with world 179 00:13:24.720 --> 00:13:29.360 mindsets, there's two things that we need to have. OK, we need to have a pure heart and we need 180 00:13:29.360 --> 00:13:36.240 biblical financial wisdom. Those are the two things that you need to rule and reign over money. 181 00:13:36.240 --> 00:13:44.000 All right. Such a great verse here, Matthew 6, 24. Jesus says this. He says, No one can serve 182 00:13:44.000 --> 00:13:50.640 two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and 183 00:13:50.640 --> 00:13:57.760 despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Now, sometimes Christians take this and 184 00:13:57.760 --> 00:14:02.800 they use it as a great example and a great justification for being poor. But that's not what 185 00:14:02.800 --> 00:14:09.280 Jesus is teaching or talking about. He's teaching us how to have royal mindsets. Right. And here's 186 00:14:09.280 --> 00:14:17.280 why. It's because you were never designed to serve money. You were designed to serve God and to rule 187 00:14:17.280 --> 00:14:23.760 over money so that I serve God and I rule over money. Now, that's the first thing where alignment 188 00:14:23.760 --> 00:14:29.200 needs to kick in. You have to have a pure heart. Right. Now, the second part of alignment in order 189 00:14:29.200 --> 00:14:34.800 to rule over money is financial wisdom. Now, you have some Christians who have beautiful, pure 190 00:14:34.800 --> 00:14:39.280 hearts. Right. They got real purity of heart, but no financial wisdom. And because they don't have 191 00:14:39.280 --> 00:14:44.560 financial wisdom, they use their serving God. But money is ruling over them because they don't 192 00:14:44.560 --> 00:14:51.840 understand the principles of wealth. You have some people who understand the principles of money, 193 00:14:51.840 --> 00:14:56.800 the principles of wealth, like the elite. And so they have that capacity to rule over money 194 00:14:57.520 --> 00:14:59.760 in terms of amassing wealth. Proverbs actually means training for raining. That's the 215 00:16:58.000 --> 00:17:02.880 Hebrew meaning of the book Proverbs, is training for raining. So the whole 216 00:17:02.880 --> 00:17:09.040 idea of Solomon writing that book was to empower his whole nation with royal mindsets. 217 00:17:09.040 --> 00:17:14.720 And that's how they created one of the wealthiest cities that's ever existed.
