The Holy Spirit is the most misunderstood part of the Trinity. 10 00:00:34.000 --> 00:00:37.000 It's easier for people to understand God as a Father 11 00:00:37.000 --> 00:00:41.000 and God as a Son because those parts of God we can relate to. 12 00:00:41.000 --> 00:00:45.000 We all know Fathers and we all know Sons in this world, 13 00:00:45.000 --> 00:00:48.000 so that makes it easier for us to relate to 14 00:00:48.000 --> 00:00:51.000 and we can understand that aspect of God. 15 00:00:51.000 --> 00:00:55.000 But as things that pertain to God's Holy Spirit, 16 00:00:55.000 --> 00:00:59.000 we can often struggle with understanding this part of God 17 00:00:59.000 --> 00:01:02.000 because we don't think we have an example 18 00:01:02.000 --> 00:01:05.000 of something we can have as a reference. 19 00:01:05.000 --> 00:01:07.000 But we do. 20 00:01:07.000 --> 00:01:10.000 We have our own spirit within us. 21 00:01:10.000 --> 00:01:15.000 Our being is made up of spirit and mind and body 22 00:01:15.000 --> 00:01:18.000 and we were made in the image of God. 23 00:01:18.000 --> 00:01:23.000 God is also made up of spirit, mind, and body. 24 00:01:23.000 --> 00:01:26.000 God's mind is God the Father. 25 00:01:26.000 --> 00:01:29.000 God's body is Jesus the Son. 26 00:01:29.000 --> 00:01:33.000 And God's spirit is what we call the Holy Spirit. 27 00:01:33.000 --> 00:01:38.000 God is three in one and that's how He made us also. 28 00:01:38.000 --> 00:01:43.000 But because God is God and He's not a human like us, 29 00:01:43.000 --> 00:01:45.000 there are three parts of His by Him on a daily basis. 38 00:02:12.000 --> 00:02:17.000 God's Holy Spirit lives inside us to help us, 39 00:02:17.000 --> 00:02:20.000 to guide us, to teach us, to comfort us, 40 00:02:20.000 --> 00:02:23.000 and even to pray for us. 41 00:02:23.000 --> 00:02:27.000 But before you receive this help from the Holy Spirit, 42 00:02:27.000 --> 00:02:31.000 you need to ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. 43 00:02:31.000 --> 00:02:36.000 Each person needs to say yes to Jesus out of their own free will 44 00:02:36.000 --> 00:02:39.000 and be willing to be guided by the teachings of Jesus 45 00:02:59.000 As we've already looked at attaining hope 51 00:02:59.000 --> 00:03:03.000 and dwelling in hope this month and the last three weeks, 52 00:03:03.000 --> 00:03:08.000 we know that true hope only exists because of Jesus 53 00:03:08.000 --> 00:03:13.000 It's actually attached to Jesus Himself. 54 00:03:13.000 --> 00:03:16.000 Outside of Jesus, it's a false hope 55 00:03:16.000 --> all-powerful Holy Spirit. 58 00:03:30.000 --> 00:03:35.000 Such an incredible reality that you and I are given. 59 00:03:36.000 --> 00:03:39.000 In the Old Testament, before Jesus came to earth, 60 00:03:39.000 --> 00:03:43.000 we see that Father God would fill a certain person with His Holy Spirit 61 00:03:43.000 --> 00:03:48.000 and that those people would do things and say things 62 Holy Spirit to navigate our days with. 65 00:04:00.000 --> 00:04:07.000 Each day we have an opportunity to do and say absolutely incredible things. 66 00:04:07.000 --> 00:04:10.000 God's Holy Spirit doesn't ever change, 67 00:04:10.000 --> 00:04:15.000 so each one of us has this awesome part of God living inside us 68 00:04:15.000 --> 00:04:18.000 and He's waiting for us to read our Bible 69 Moses trusted the Lord.
