some scriptures out and then I'm going to be expounding on 8 00:01:07.840 --> 00:01:13.840 those scriptures, I like to read the scriptures, expound on it, then I want to leave you with 9 00:01:13.840 --> 00:01:19.840 some practical examples and towards the end I want you to apply Faith is an Action in 10 00:01:19.840 --> 00:01:26.840 some way, so if you like to, well if you've got your Bible that's good, if you don't, 11 00:01:26.840 --> 00:01:33.840 you don't, I'm reading from Mark chapter 3 verse 1-5, Faith is an Action, many years 12 00:01:33.840 --> 00:01:41.840 ago I heard Smith Wigglesworth say Faith is an Action and he would do some pretty outlandish 13 00:01:41.840 --> 00:01:50.840 things, once he kicked a child, a spina bifida, kicked him off the stage apparently, and people 14 00:01:50.840 --> 00:01:58.840 were just ahh, but by the time the child's feet touched the ground, boom, the child was healed, 15 00:01:58.840 --> 00:02:04.840 and he said Faith is an Action, and it's a pretty radical action there, but there's a 16 00:02:04.840 --> 00:02:09.840 principle behind Faith is an Action, so I don't just go by what people say, you've got 17 00:02:09.840 --> 00:02:14.840 to study the Word of God and see what's the Word of God say, people's opinions about Faith, 18 00:02:14.840 --> 00:02:19.840 people's opinions about the Bible, people's opinions about following Jesus, that's all 19 00:02:19.840 --> 00:02:24.840 they are, opinions, it's like if you want your tomatoes to grow, you put a straight 20 00:02:24.840 --> 00:02:29.840 stick in the ground so that the tomato plant grows around, a straight stick, when you've 21 00:02:29.840 --> 00:02:34.840 got a straight stick, well a branch of a tree and it looks pretty straight, until you put 22 00:02:34.840 --> 00:02:39.840 until you put a real straight stick next to it, and ahh, it's like God's Word is the 23 00:02:39.840 --> 00:02:43.840 straight stick, our opinions are like the crooked stick, and so we always need to go 24 00:02:43.840 --> 00:02:48.840 back to the Word of God, to the words of Christ, His words are the straight stick, opinions 25 00:02:48.840 --> 00:02:54.840 are like a crooked stick, and so I'm going to look at the Word of God, as I said, Mark 26 00:02:54.840 --> 00:03:00.840 chapter 3, verse 1, and there's a man with a shriveled up hand, or withered hand, and 27 00:03:00.840 --> 00:03:05.840 so, another time he went into the synagogue and a man with a shriveled hand was there, 28 00:03:05.840 --> 00:03:10.840 some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely 29 00:03:10.840 --> 00:03:15.840 to see if he would heal on the Sabbath, Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, stand 30 00:03:15.840 --> 00:03:20.840 up in the front of everyone, then Jesus said to the man, which is, said to them, which 31 00:03:20.840 --> 00:03:27.840 is lawful on the Sabbath, to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill, but they 32 00:03:27.840 --> 00:03:32.840 remained silent, he looked around at them with anger and deeply distressed at their 33 00:03:32.840 --> 00:03:39.840 stubborn hearts, he said to the man, stretch out your hand, he stretched it out and his 34 00:03:39.840 --> 00:03:46.840 hand was completely restored, amen, so the question here I want to ask you Father, what 35 00:03:46.840 --> 00:03:51.840 was the action Jesus told the man with the withered hand to do, what was the action that 36 00:03:52.840 --> 00:03:58.840 Jesus told the withered man to do, stretch out your hand, he didn't say to the man you 37 00:03:58.840 --> 00:04:05.840 healed, he didn't say you set free, he didn't say you delivered, he didn't cast a demon 38 00:04:05.840 --> 00:04:10.840 out of them, he said to the man, do something, do something, do an action, stretch out your 39 00:04:10.840 --> 00:04:17.839 hand, see faith is an action, and the moment the man actioned, began to action what Jesus 40 00:04:18.839 --> 00:04:22.840 said, the power of God fell on his body, faith is an action, we're going to go through this 41 00:04:22.840 --> 00:04:33.840 principle, I remember one of the church services I was taking here, and I just felt by word 42 00:04:33.840 --> 00:04:40.840 of knowledge I think it was that Jesus wanted to heal people that morning, so and I felt 43 00:04:41.840 --> 00:04:48.840 I just had a thought, excuse me, I just had this sort of inkling that people with sports 44 00:04:48.840 --> 00:04:55.840 injuries, old sporting injuries, or diseases in their knees, in their ankles, in their 45 00:04:55.840 --> 00:04:59.840 shoulders, that if they, I would pray a prayer of healing. 46 00:05:00.000 --> 00:05:05.000 And then they had to respond by doing something they couldn't do before. 47 00:05:05.000 --> 00:05:08.000 If they had painful ankles, after prayer I said, 48 00:05:08.000 --> 00:05:10.000 you stand up and down on your toes. 49 00:05:10.000 --> 00:05:14.000 If you had painful knees, begin to exercise your knees. 50 00:05:14.000 --> 00:05:17.000 If you had sore shoulders, begin to move your shoulders. 51 00:05:17.000 --> 00:05:20.000 Do something. Action your faith. 52 00:05:20.000 --> 00:05:24.000 And I got this because I've read the scriptures, faith is an action. 53 00:05:24.000 --> 00:05:28.000 And so I did the prayer, prayed for Jesus to touch and heal everybody, 54 00:05:28.000 --> 00:05:32.000 release the healing presence in Jesus' name, amen. 55 00:05:32.000 --> 00:05:34.000 And then I said to everybody who was, 56 00:05:34.000 --> 00:05:37.000 I told them to put their hand on their heart at the same time that I prayed, 57 00:05:37.000 --> 00:05:39.000 as a point of contact. 58 00:05:39.000 --> 00:05:42.000 And because I said we'll lay hands on the sick and they'll recover. 59 00:05:42.000 --> 00:05:46.000 It doesn't say whose hand, it can be your own hand on your own body, 60 00:05:46.000 --> 00:05:48.000 or it can be somebody else's hand. 61 00:05:48.000 --> 00:05:50.000 And so as they lay their hands on their own bodies 62 00:05:50.000 --> 00:05:52.000 and we prayed in Jesus' name be healed, 63 00:05:52.000 --> 00:05:54.000 I said now do what you couldn't do. 64 00:05:54.000 --> 00:05:57.000 And so people were standing on their toes, 65 00:05:57.000 --> 00:06:00.000 people were moving their knees around, their legs, 66 00:06:00.000 --> 00:06:02.000 people were moving their shoulders. 67 00:06:02.000 --> 00:06:05.000 And if I can recall, 68 00:06:05.000 --> 00:06:11.000 probably out of 10 or 11 people that responded 69 00:06:11.000 --> 00:06:14.000 that they felt some improvement or were completely healed, 70 00:06:14.000 --> 00:06:19.000 I had about four, three or four people running up to the front at least. 71 00:06:19.000 --> 00:06:22.000 One, I remember, was a lady. 72 00:06:22.000 --> 00:06:26.000 She had an accident in her ankle. 73 00:06:26.000 --> 00:06:28.000 She couldn't stand properly on her ankles, 74 00:06:28.000 --> 00:06:31.000 and she was standing up and down on her ankles with no pain whatsoever. 75 00:06:31.000 --> 00:06:33.000 Another was a man and he was excited. 76 00:06:33.000 --> 00:06:35.000 He ran up and he's bending down, squatting, 77 00:06:35.000 --> 00:06:37.000 says he hasn't been able to do this, 78 00:06:37.000 --> 00:06:40.000 I don't know for how long, we were months, but it was a long, long time. 79 00:06:40.000 --> 00:06:42.000 People coming out and saying their knees are healed, 80 00:06:42.000 --> 00:06:43.000 moving their shoulders. 81 00:06:43.000 --> 00:06:47.000 I never touched them, but they reached out their faith to Jesus. 82 00:06:47.000 --> 00:06:49.000 Faith is an action. 83 00:06:49.000 --> 00:06:52.000 The moment they did that action, the power of God came upon them. 84 00:06:52.000 --> 00:06:53.000 Faith is an action. 85 00:06:53.000 --> 00:06:54.000 This is a lesson. 86 00:06:54.000 --> 00:06:56.000 And if you can catch this key, this principle, 87 00:06:56.000 --> 00:07:00.000 about faith being an action, it will help you. 88 00:07:00.000 --> 00:07:02.000 You know, I lay hands on the sick. 89 00:07:02.000 --> 00:07:03.000 I anoint with oil. 90 00:07:03.000 --> 00:07:05.000 There's different ways of healing people. 91 00:07:05.000 --> 00:07:08.000 But when you can get people to do a faith action, 92 00:07:08.000 --> 00:07:12.000 I'd say I see 80% more healings, 80% more success 93 00:07:12.000 --> 00:07:15.000 when a person does an action, does a faith action, 94 00:07:15.000 --> 00:07:16.000 when I'm praying for them. 95 00:07:16.000 --> 00:07:19.000 So let's read another scripture, guys. 96 00:07:19.000 --> 00:07:23.000 John 9 5-7 97 00:07:23.000 --> 00:07:26.000 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 98 00:07:26.000 --> 00:07:30.000 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, 99 00:07:30.000 --> 00:07:32.000 and he made clay of the spittle. 100 00:07:32.000 --> 00:07:35.000 He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 101 00:07:35.000 --> 00:07:36.000 and he said to him, 102 00:07:36.000 --> 00:07:41.000 Go wash in the pool of Siloam, which is by interpretation, sin. 103 00:07:41.000 --> 00:07:45.000 He went his way, therefore, and washed, and came back seeing. 104 00:07:45.000 --> 00:07:48.000 Here, Jesus doesn't say you're healed. 105 00:07:48.000 --> 00:07:50.000 He doesn't say your eyes are opened. 106 00:07:50.000 --> 00:07:52.000 He doesn't say that at all. 107 00:07:52.000 --> 00:07:56.000 He says now he spits on the dirt, puts it on his eyes, 108 00:07:56.000 --> 00:07:59.000 and he says now go wash your eyes in the pool of Siloam. 109 00:07:59.000 --> 00:08:02.000 What was the faith action that guy had to do 110 00:08:02.000 --> 00:08:05.000 before his eyes opened? 111 00:08:05.000 --> 00:08:07.000 I hear you, yeah. 112 00:08:07.000 --> 00:08:09.000 Washing his eyes in the pool of Siloam. 113 00:08:09.000 --> 00:08:10.000 Was it magic water? 114 00:08:10.000 --> 00:08:11.000 It had nothing to do with the water. 115 00:08:11.000 --> 00:08:14.000 It had everything to do with the act of faith. 116 00:08:14.000 --> 00:08:18.000 The moment he put water on his eyes, he could see. 117 00:08:18.000 --> 00:08:20.000 The power of God was released. 118 00:08:20.000 --> 00:08:24.000 I remember when I was in India just quite a while ago now, 119 00:08:24.000 --> 00:08:26.000 and the first time I went to India, actually, 120 00:08:26.000 --> 00:08:29.000 and blind people were brought to me. 121 00:08:29.000 --> 00:08:31.000 Some were blind in both eyes. 122 00:08:31.000 --> 00:08:33.000 Some were blind just in one eye. 123 00:08:33.000 --> 00:08:36.000 Many were just blind in one eye with cataracts and so forth. 124 00:08:36.000 --> 00:08:40.000 I remember praying for the first three or four blind people, 125 00:08:40.000 --> 00:08:43.000 and I just couldn't believe they were healed just like that, 126 00:08:43.000 --> 00:08:45.000 so instantly, and that was just amazing. 127 00:08:45.000 --> 00:08:47.000 I mean, I'd never seen that in New Zealand, 128 00:08:47.000 --> 00:08:50.000 but for some reason, over there, they were just healed instantly. 129 00:08:50.000 --> 00:08:53.000 Blind person after blind person, healed, healed, healed. 130 00:08:53.000 --> 00:08:54.000 In fact, I said to my interpreter, 131 00:08:54.000 --> 00:08:56.000 Are you sure they're blind? 132 00:08:56.000 --> 00:08:57.000 I didn't feel anything. 133 00:08:57.000 --> 00:09:01.000 I thought I should feel something, a miracle in that category. 134 00:09:01.000 --> 00:09:06.000 So after about the fourth blind person I'd prayed for who was healed, 135 00:09:06.000 --> 00:09:08.000 I was pretty confident. 136 00:09:08.000 --> 00:09:11.000 I thought I had faith, but I actually had presumption 137 00:09:11.000 --> 00:09:14.000 because another blind person was brought to me, 138 00:09:14.000 --> 00:09:16.000 and he had a growth sticking out of his eye a bit. 139 00:09:16.000 --> 00:09:19.000 Maybe that long, sticking out. His eye was white. 140 00:09:19.000 --> 00:09:21.000 He could see out of this eye or this eye, 141 00:09:21.000 --> 00:09:24.000 but this eye had this growth sticking out of it. 142 00:09:24.000 --> 00:09:25.000 So I was full of faith. 143 00:09:25.000 --> 00:09:27.000 I'd seen three or four blind people healed instantly, 144 00:09:27.000 --> 00:09:29.000 so I said, Come forward. 145 00:09:29.000 --> 00:09:31.000 And I said, In the name of Jesus, be healed. 146 00:09:31.000 --> 00:09:33.000 I rebelled that blindness and released the healing. 147 00:09:33.000 --> 00:09:35.000 Amen. 148 00:09:35.000 --> 00:09:37.000 And I said to the interpreter, How is he? 149 00:09:37.000 --> 00:09:40.000 And the interpreter said, He is still blind. 150 00:09:40.000 --> 00:09:41.000 I said, Oh boy. 151 00:09:41.000 --> 00:09:44.000 So I prayed a second time, this time a bit more kaha, a bit more ihi. 152 00:09:44.000 --> 00:09:47.000 In the name of Jesus, I rebuke the blind spirit, 153 00:09:47.000 --> 00:09:49.000 and I release healing right now. 154 00:09:49.000 --> 00:09:51.000 Open the eye. Amen. 155 00:09:51.000 --> 00:09:53.000 So I'm pretty confident. 156 00:09:53.000 --> 00:09:55.000 I said to my interpreter, How is he? 157 00:09:55.000 --> 00:09:57.000 Oh, he is still blind. 158
